“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world”
-Anne Frank

Dear Friend

Rejoicing in each and every success we are able to achieve in Mexico is what enables us at Compassion without Borders to continue our tireless efforts in a country where animal suffering is so overt and unabashedly rampant.

And, lately, there has been much to rejoice about. Our all-volunteer team has been hard at work planting the seeds of humane reform south of the border and then working carefully and steadily to ensure their sustainable, ongoing local harvest.

We started off our summer by relocating our headquarters within Northern California, then headed out for our first south of the border mission in our new rescue van, hosted another week-long spay and neuter clinic, rescued another dozen irresistible meximutts, signed on to a statewide animal control contract with Mexican officials, and developed a partnership with local veterinarians in the city of Chihuahua to augment ongoing free sterilization services in the region.

We enjoy sharing all of our successes with each of you and hope you’ll take the time to read about them. Without your support, none of our work would be possible. We hope you take as much pride in these programs as we do, and are equally as inspired and rejuvenated by the positive change we work so hard each day to bring about.

One Issue at a Time

This section of our website educates readers about the problems facing the animals of Mexico. May’s issue is a disease that affects many of the dogs in Mexico, that is rarely seen here in the United States. It is a transmissible tumor, spread by sexual contact, that is treatable with  proper medications….click here to learn more.
