Holiday Meximutts
We are getting geared up to make our last rescue run of the year. An adorable group of Meximutts will receive the greatest gift of all this holiday season – the gift of life and a loving home. Meet a few of our end of the year rescue dogs:

Frankie
Poor little Frankie is a tiny little terrier cross that found himself thrown into a pen of large dogs at the animal control center in Juarez, Mexico. He had been attacked very severely by the time local volunteers found him and had to have several large lacerations stitched up as soon as he was pulled for the rescue program.
Frankie has been recovering in a local veterinary technician's home who has been attending to his wounds - both emotional and physical - and preparing him for his big trip north to California. Frankie has healed beautifully and we can't wait to take some photos of him now to share with you his joyous transformation! |

Paquita
When Paquita was rescued she was bone thin and volunteers feared she may be too malnutritioned to pull through. However, with some basic medications, dewormers, and lots of TLC and good food, she made an immediate turn around and began to show her strong spirit and outgoing personality. Paquita is now reportedly a vibrant little lady without a care in the world who is 100% ready to begin her new life in California.

Renzo
Sweet, dignified Renzo is a blind Poodle that was abandoned at the local animal control center in Juarez, Mexico. Volunteers report he was scared to death by the sounds, smells, and other dogs that he was trapped with in the group cage. However, once he was taken out and showed just an ounce of kindness, he immediately let his sweet, soulful demeanor reveal itself and had them all charmed within moments. Renzo has done extraordinarily well in his foster home and navigates around beautifully, just a touch cautiously, seemingly unaware of his handicap.

Cora
Little spunky Cora got her name (Cora is short for Corazon which means heart) for her big heart and sweet ways. She was slated to be euthanized at the animal control center in Juarez when volunteers spotted her short, sassy little self eagerly awaiting someone to come along and get her the heck out of that place. We can't wait to get Cora up north where she can teach us North Americans why Latinos are known for their charm!

Rony
Could anyone truly deny these pleading, innocent eyes?

Bruno
This young poodle cross seems quite pensive....do you suppose he's wondering if his new family in California speaks Spanish?????
