Meximutt Jet Setters

The last group of Mexican rescue dogs had the privilege of a private flight home thanks to Dennis Pollito, who volunteered his time, expertise, and private plane to help us save the lives of the latest ten dogs rescued from Juarez.
Rather than make the typical grueling 20 plus hour road trip from Juarez to Northern California, CWOB cofounders Christi and Moncho climbed aboard the private plane with Dennis and the ten lucky dogs and, five hours later, they landed safely and soundly at a private airport in the Bay Area.
The dogs seemed to enjoy the flight and didn’t let out so much as a peep for the entire trip. A short pit stop was made in Southern California to refuel and allow the gang to stretch their legs. From there it was straight to our final destination a few hundred miles north. The dogs all arrived safe and sound, and eager to start the next chapter in their lives – the one where they finally find the permanent homes they deserve.
We are very grateful to Dennis for helping us to save these incredible dogs and look forward to having him as part of our life saving team!

Meet a few of the jet setting crew:

Mia

Mia was the sweetheart of the bunch. The only thing bigger than her gigantic ears is her lovely heart and easygoing spirit. She has a way of charming you in less than 60 seconds with her big brown eyes and soft approach. She adapted to every new situation and adventure throughout the trip with admirable ease and grace and will make someone an absolutely phenomenal companion.

Mona

Mona is one of those dogs who is just plain happy. Whether she was on the plane, or in the car, or in her crate, or walking out at the airport – she was thrilled. She seemed to have a smile across her little white face at all times and that tail never stopped wagging. Her feminine demeanor, gorgeous features, and adorably personable character made her irresistible to all of us and we are so very grateful to be able to give her the happy ending she clearly knows is awaiting her.

Toy

Toy is the sort of dog you fall in love with. He is friendly, he is playful, and he has nothing but the best of intentions. He managed to make friends with all the other dogs immediately and was always ready for a quick snuggle and every vigilant for an open lap.

Lala

LaLa was undeniably the most dignified lady of the group. She makes you melt. She is so incredibly calm, genuine, and sweet – it just about breaks your heart.  Thank goodness LaLa will soon be in a loving home where she is adored properly, respected tremendously, and given the safe, nurturing environment she deserves.
