Know what?” “Sabias Que?”
Signs of Change Sprout up in Juarez, Mexico
“Know What?”, or “Sabias Que?” in Spanish, is the name of our new humane education campaign in Juarez, Mexico. We are working with our local Juarez partners, Asociacion ProDefensa Animal (Animal Protection Association), to blanket the city in informational billboards and posters with this catchy slogan.
Each sign will be headlined by the “Sabias Que?” header and will feature facts about dog and cat overpopulation in Mexico, ranging from the health benefits of spay and neuter to the tragic number of animals killed each day in the local animal control centers.
The goal of the campaign is to create eye catching signs that will engage the people of Juarez and educate them about the basics of spay and neuter – something the majority of the city’s two million residents know little about.
As part of an incredible show of support, the local government is sponsoring a large portion of the distribution and printing costs and helping us to spread the message. Having the government invest resources and recognize the importance of sterilization and humane education is a huge step in the right direction for the animals of Juarez.
Know what? We think that is amazing. |
