CWOB to bring aid to one of the poorest areas of Mexico
Our next spay and neuter clinic, which will be held during the last week in March, will take place in Anapra, a suburb of Juarez which is home to the city’s poorest residents. We plan on offering free sterilizations, vaccinations, and other wellness services to roughly 300 animals in our weeklong visit and are bringing a large team of US volunteer veterinarians and vet students to work alongside local advocates, veterinarians, and veterinary students at the clinic.
Animals at the clinic will receive vaccinations, dewormng, spay/neuter, collars, ID tags, flea and tick medications, and will be sent home with leashes and food. We will also bring donations for the people in the community,
including school supplies for the children, toys, new clothing, cooking utensils, and food. Additionally, we will use the clinic as an venue for humane education. We will distribute humane education coloring books to the children, along with crayons and other materials, and will have a variety of local media covering the event, as well.
Help us to fight the suffering of unwanted animals in Mexico through prevention - spay and neuter. It cost an average of $25 for an animal to be sterilized at one of our clinics . Spaying just one dog and one cat prevents 67,000 puppies and 420,000 kittens from being born over the next 7 years! Sponsor a sterilization surgery today and help to prevent untold suffering.
